ISS First Response employs people variously skilled in all aspects of equipment recovery, load salvage and site remediation. Our workforce includes a national network of full and part-time emergency response co-ordinators.
Our people are response specialists, experienced in providing support to the driver and recovering equipment and freight in the safest and most cost effective way.
Our Emergency Response Co-ordinators' primary function is to activate our clients' emergency response plans. Typically, this includes:-
- Looking after driver welfare & repatriation
- Providing assistance to the emergency services, if required
- Identifying hazards (physical, chemical, business, etc) and responding
- Containing spills and minimising impact on people, equipment, environment and client reputation
- Arranging salvage, security, protection and transportation of accident affected cargoes
- Cleaning up, making incident scenes safe and securing the area until the technical experts arrive
- Maintaining contact with the client, and providing verbal and written progress reports on the status of emergency response operations
- Arranging the removal of accident damaged vehicles and equipment to a destination of our customer's choice
- Prevention of interaction from the public and the media at the incident scene.
